Welcome to CFD Wives Club

June 18, 2007 the City of Charleston Fire Department lost 9 brave men in a Sofa Super Store Warehouse fire. This day changed the CFD forever! Suzette Dunlap and Angie Baldwin, sisters married to CFD members, realized that enough of the wives did not know each other and did not have the support they were able to give to each other that night and the following days. They decided to start the CFD Wives Club. September 2007 was the first month for meetings. It was an immediate success. The group has continued to grow and stay strong! We have a great group of women and we plan on doing a lot of good things. We are a support group for our husbands, children and each other. We meet once a month for our meeting and at least once a month for a social outting. We are a nonprofit organization and are being supported by the S.C. Firefighter's Association.
