Hello to "sister" fire wives. I am a Battalion Fire Chief's wife here in Estero, FL (just south of Ft. Myers). I think it is wonderful that you have built such a strong group of awesome women. I am trying to get a group going here at our dept. as well. Wish me luck. I will drop you all a line and let you know how things are going. I know I will be refering to your page for ideas. The book, "The Love Dare", from the "Fireproof" movie can be purchased at Wal Mart or at many sites online. Google "The Love Dare" for sources other than Wal Mart to buy the book.

This is such a great idea and I hope it conitnues and grows. My husband was killed when he was driving back from a gas grill fire 7-8-08. while the community has been very supportive, very few people can relate to my loss of a wonderful young husband and father to 5 children. I hope to be able to connect with others who understand better of my situation. My prayers are with all of you.

Your club is an inspiration for us to start one in Colerain Township. We lost Capt. Robin Broxterman and Firefighter Brian Schira in a house fire April 4th, 2008. We as wives feel lonely and divided not knowing each other yet share the same feelings.
